The removal, capture and recovery of metal residues from APIs, chemical intermediates and waste streams has become a major industrial issue on economical, health and environmental grounds. Metal scavengers have become the option of choice for this task, demonstrating both operational and performance advantages over traditional methods such as distillation, extraction, adsorption onto activated carbon and crystallisation.
As a solution towards this often complex issue, PhosphonicSTM has designed and developed a broad portfolio of highly effective metal scavengers. Due to their ability to readily remove transition and precious metals down to regulatory acceptable levels these materials have found widespread usage for pharmaceutical metal removal problems, as well as those presented by industries such as fine chemicals and electronic polymers. Scavengers are available in a variety of formats, covering custom kits for research and development and bulk quantities in powder and cartridge formats for larger scale process applications.
