Phos-02 is an amine containing scavenger designed to have a high affinity for platinum group metals.
It is the recommendation for Pt recovery but also has a high affinity for Au, Rh, Ru and Ir.

Recovery of PGMs from a nickle sulfate recrystallisation stream containing 3 ppm Rh, 20 ppm Ru, and 8 ppm Ir. Screening at 70 degrees C found Phos-02 recovered 42% Rh, 67% Ru and 85% Ir.
Refining stream from a reductive precipitation step using sodium borohydride, containing 94 ppm Rh. Treatment at ambient temperature with Phos-02 recovered 89% Rh.
